BROAD was born late in the summer of 2005. Its central conviction is that there is nothing more powerful, more seductive, more persuasive than a beautiful, intelligent woman.

The position BROAD takes is, frankly, controversial in some circles. Men may be offended by the exclusivity of the content (although they are encouraged to enjoy it). Women may be offended by the nature of the content (although they, too, are encouraged to enjoy it).

But BROAD is not about offending or placating. It is about writing. It is about clarity. It is about intelligence.

Exploitation is in the eye of the beholder.
